What is AVID
AVID provides students in the academic middle, the skills needed to be successful in advancing academically with the ultimate goal of attending college. Students are taught organization, study skills, note-taking, time management, writing, and research skills, while being immersed in a college-going culture. AVID is for students who are motivated to do well, and who are serious about their academic future. The program is offered as an elective to all grade levels, but enrolling in AVID is an application process which includs an interview.
